 Opening sequence idea one 

For my first opening sequence idea, I want the genre to be a coming of age movie. The plot would be following a girl through her teenage years at a college in the uk in the 80s. 

The opening sequence would be following her morning routine until she gets to School.

The opening sequence would start off with a diegetic sound of the girls alarm going off. The camera would be a mid shot of her girl lying in her bed. The next few shots would be of the girl getting ready for school in her 80s room. For example her doing her make up and getting dressed.There would be non diegetic of music playing in the back ground. The music would be an upbeat fun 80s song, something like "don't go breaking my heart" by Elton John. The next shot after the girl getting ready would be a wide angle shot of her house which is a small cottage in the country side. The next shot would be of her walking out of her front door. The camera would then follow her to school. She may be walking or riding a bike down the country lanes to get to School. Once she arrives at School the opening sequence would end with the diegetic sound of the school bell. 

For this opening sequence I think the set design and costumes will be what makes it. The year would need to be established by what the girl is wearing and the objects she uses, eg like no iPhones.
