 My idea 

 Shot-by-shot narrative action list for opening sequence idea 2 

. Establishing mid shot of a brick wall with posters on it, hold shot for 5 seconds.

. Camera zooms closer to one pacific poster.

. Camera holds shot for 5 seconds of that one poster, poster says missing girl with picture and information of girl.

. Hand grabs poster and crushes it up, camera zooms out to mid shot of wall and the hand throws the paper in the bin next to the wall. 

. Camera cuts to a tracking shot of women talking down graveyard, music begins low and sad tune.

. Mid shot of women joining a group of others at a funeral in the graveyard. 

. close up of guests at funeral looking sad.

. Another mid shot and close ups.

. Wide shot of guests walking away from the funeral in different directions. 

. Camera follows the girl from before as she walks off alone down a path in graveyard. 

. Camera facing the girl tracking her as she walks. 

. Camera cuts to behind the girl, still following her as she walks but now she from behind.

. A diegetic ping sound is heard and the girls phone brightly lights up in her hand.

. Girl and camera come to a hold and stop moving (Camera still behind the girl).

. Girl moves her hand with the phone in it higher up nearer her face.

. Camera zooms into the phone. 

. Music automatically changes to a creepy sound. 

. A message notification is on the bright iPhone scene. 

. Camera cuts to a mid of the phone screen, and the name of the "dead" friend appears with the message saying "I know what you did". 

.Opening sequence ends and screen goes black 

Caitlin idea 

Girl 1 - extreme religous parents

Girl 2 - extreme conservative parents

1. Establishing wide shot of two girls backs to the camera in the centre of the screen with a shed or hut of some sort in front of them. No music just a few seconds of silence maybe a few birds chirping.
2. Zoom in on their hands and focus on their fingers touching for a few seconds - music starts to play - possibly a nirvana song or under the milky way by the church.
3. Cut to close up of girl 1 face red and tear streaked then see her head turn towards the door
4. Cross cut to the same girls eyes in the exact same composition but in the woods now and she smiles then pan down to her lips and smile then zoom out slightly so we see both girls looking at each other smiling. 
5. Cross cut back to girl 1 room and in doorway we see three figures back lit to look ominous - her parents and a priest.
6. POV shot of them walking towards her 
7. Quick cut back to them in the woods laughing 
8. Eyeline match from previous shot? from parents POV and we see her backing into her bed
9. Close up (back in woods) of hand brushing hair behind ears and girl 2 close up of eyes 
10. When she blinks cut to mid shot? of her parents hands grabbing her wrists to restrain her
11. Cross cut to them holding hands and one girls tracing circles on the back of the other girls hand 
12. Cross cut to mid shot (priests pov) of parent giving a nod to the priest 
13. Eyeline match to see priest nod back
14. Close up of him preparing the holy water
15. Cut to close up of girl 2 crying
16. Wide shot to show her struggling 
17. Then birds eye view mid shot to see her struggle but then give up because it is useless
18. Close up of priest picking up a large cross 
19. Wide shot with priests back to us on the left side so we can see the face of girl 2 he lifts the cross over her body
20. Close up of priests lips moving slowly in small mumbled prayer 
21. Then zoom out to close up of his face and follow as he turns his head up and shouts prayers at the top of his lungs and this effort is visible despite the sound being muted.
22. Another close up of her sobbing but her body doesn't move like a typical exorcism because there isn't actually any evil in her and the parents are just being deluded

25. Birds eye view of priest shaking her shoulders 
26. Then mid shot from the side to see priest shouting in her face as she tries to look away
27. Sudden cut to her face looking numbly at the ceiling red and puffy from crying then slowly zoom out into a birds eye to see her lying spread out on her bed alone in a dark room we hear a sigh that fades over the top of the soundtrack
28. Then very fast editing of loads of different shots of them that were taking in the forest and part of the exorcism all going very fast sort of like a flip book
29. Sudden stop and cut to close up of their faces in the woods we see both of their faces in the shot looking at each other and one of them says i love you in a breathy voice and the music stops before this shot so it is silent with just the breathy i love you and then a moment where they still look at each other and then the screen goes to black and the title appears

Otto idea 

• The first shot is a close up shot of the hands of our main character. Sitting atop a hill/grassy area. The hands would be in wrappings and would appear to have blood on them. They would figet with their hands and slowly unwrap them.
• Then cut to their face, their face would be sweating and they would be visibly exhausted.
• Cut back to their hands, now unwrapped, we see the dried up blood.
• A zoomed out shot of the them where we see their whole body, they fidget with their hands and caress their scars. They sigh and get up.
• A follow shot of them walking inside a house, in a normal pace.
• Another follow shot, with zoom following them towards the gym. Keep the focus on them as they walk, their parents are in the blurred out background appear to be trying to speak to him but their voices are drowned out.
• A close up of their face, looking down as they enter the gym.
• Zoom out as they shut the door behind them.
• A still shot of them standing in front of the door and looking at a punching bag.
• Close up shot of their shoes as they drop their gym bag.
• High angle shot from the position of the gym bag as they get nearer to the punching bag.
• Close up shot of the punching bag as they hit it.
• Title.
