Exorcism Filming Order

This is the order we are filming the exorcism scenes in. 

- three figures in the doorway, vicar in front, parents behind

- mid shot of vicar crossing his face 

- close up of rosary in focus, vicar unfocused 

- close up of vicars fingers in chalice 

- over shoulder shot flicking water 

- close birds' eye of little table/ shelf cross and bible opening, run finger across bible

- over shoulder shot from vicar looking at girl in bed shocked 

- above shot see her arm getting restrained, pushed down to bed 

- close-up knot being tied 

- mid shot dad tilting up mumble prayer

- mid shot mum cross himself then mumble quickly into hands 

- vicar poverties looking at girl, camera moves to parents, dad nods, mum fiddling with cross necklace

- wide shot girl middle of bed as she scuttles back into headboard camera zooms out 

- close-up eye’s girl zooms out to birds’ eye to see her struggle 

- side shot close-up girl crying looking at ceiling then turn face to look at camera blink 

- birds’ eye mid shot girl sobs 

 

 

Lover Filming Order

 

This is the order we are going to film the lover fort scenes in.

1. Mid shot of girls looking at, each other centre of the shot, side on, no sound track in the fort.
2. Camera moves in on faces and pans down on hands, sound track starts, shot lasts 5 seconds.
3. Close up girls faces, smiling, 4 seconds.
4. Extreme close up of girls eyes, 2 second shot 
5. Close up of girl 2 getting hair tucked, side on, shot for 5 seconds.
6. Wide shot of full fort, Girls propped up lying on each other, hold for 6 seconds.
7. Wide shoot zooms in on one Girl tickling other girl arm, 5 seconds.
8. Mid shot of girls still leaning on each other, one girl head on shoulder, laughing, 4 seconds 
9. Cut to same position in fort lying on other girl, eyes look up at other girl and camera tilts in POV shot, girl smiles and looks down on her
10. 2 seconds side on mid shot, girls forehead touching, nose touching little smile, 
11. 3 seconds extreme close up of girls 2 lips, smile, says I LOVE YOU.

Group Meeting 23th of February

 Today was the first time the group was back together after half term. We were told during half term that our original cast for the priest was unable to be in our opening sequence. We quickly thought of other cast options for our priest. We have emailed a few teachers asking if there able to take on the roll of our priest, and hopefully we will have a set member for tomorrow. 

We also discussed costumes and went to see Elizabeth the head of costumes in the theatre department. She told us she had props we could use, a Bible, Rosary and Chalice. She also has given use a white dog collor to put under the black shirt the priest will be wearing.

The group are currently feeling stressed about everything going right with the opening sequence however we all have hope that everything will work out.  

Shooting Day Schedule

 3rd of March, 9am-6pm

9-Arrive to Beatrice Webb, Cast needed Saskia and Gracie. 

10-12:30- Love scene in fort

12:30-1:30- Lunch 

1:30-Back to Beatrice Webb, cast needed Doug, Adam, Nicky and Saskia

Editing workshop 1

 On the 7th of February my class had our first editing workshop.

In this workshop we were taught how to use an editing app called Premier Pro. Premier Pro is an editing app that is uses to edited bad YouTube videos as well as high budget movies. We were showed how to make folders which is refereed to as bins to keep our work organised. We were also told to make a folder called rushes which is were we are meant to put unedited footage that was shoot on shooting day. Other technical words we were taught is scrubbing which is moving clips and logging which means going through footage and making copies. A extremely useful tool we were shown is the cut tool, this allows you to crop a video at the place you want to cut it. 

Once we were taught the techniques, we went off in pairs to try and edited the shots we filmed in the camera workshop. Here is me and Lillys first attempt. 

This workshop taught me a ton about editing and will come in helpful when I have to edit my opening sequence. 

Group meeting 4th of February

 Over our past meetings we have been making blog posts, finalising our idea and looking at our shot by shot. My groups and I have been getting on well and we have successfully discussed all good and bad ideas. We have all been happy to make changes, like not showing any post exorcism shots. This week we have all research useful Information that will benefit our opening sequence. Once research we all went off and separately wrote blog posts that we then sent to each other once completed. I researched exorcism scenes in movies, Bea looked at lesbian secret relationships in movies, Otto made pictures of what our characters should look like and Caitlin made a story board. As a group we have manage our work and time very well and I feel like we are on a good path to be extremely prepared for our opening sequence.
